A curation of beautifully-designed goods for aging and caretaking

This is a collection of goods, from clothing to kitchen tools to portable urinals, that highlights well-designed elements that have functionality, aesthetics and design, and dignity in mind — for those who are aging, and who are living with changing needs.

And isn’t that all of us? We are aging, which is to say — living through time.

You might be taking care of an older parent that now has trouble tying shoelaces and would prefer lace-less shoes that look stylish. You might be helping your father who wants to look sharp but has trouble buttoning a shirt.

Or you might be noticing those needs for yourself — that you’re starting to prefer lighter suitcases, wanting a better grip on your utensils and kitchen tools. It could be anyone of any age, temporarily or chronically, requiring care and self-care.

Needing care doesn’t mean you sacrifice design and beauty and dignity.

Even if the drug stores and pharmacies’ sad, medical selections suggest otherwise, even if websites like ElderDepot suggest otherwise…

Here’s a database of beautiful goods for aging & care and hoping for a world where they are abundant and accessible.
